We are excited to share the 2018 Year in Review today. Once again, the Year in Review publication represents the work of the entire information sharing community. 2018 was a landmark year for the Information Sharing and Analysis Organization Standards Organization (ISAO SO); we invite you to download the full version to read about the progress of the ISAO SO and the success of the information sharing community over the past year.
For the third-straight-year, the ISAO SO successfully published multiple documents with the expert support of volunteers within the information sharing community. This year we began receiving feedback from new and emerging ISAOs on a routine basis about how those documents have helped lay the foundation for their information sharing organization.
Our efforts to engage with the community also resulted in another successful International Information Sharing Conference! Speakers from around the world, and within both public- and private-industries, all spoke to the value of improving information sharing by providing their unique insights into the work we are doing to make an impact on community and industry leaders.
We hosted another successful International Information Sharing Conference, published three new documents, began developing four additional documents, hosted multiple webinars to highlight trending and technical topics, and added more than a dozen information sharing groups that registered with us on ISAO.org.
We are pleased to celebrate the progress of the last year but recognize the challenge of the work to be done in the year ahead. We continue to seek to improve the nation’s cybersecurity posture by identifying standards, guidelines, and other products needed for robust and effective information sharing and analysis related to cybersecurity risks, incidents and best practices.
