NIST Interagency Report 7621—Small Business Information Security: The Fundamentals

Small businesses are a very important part of the economy and a significant part of the critical U.S. economic and cyber infrastructure. Because larger businesses have been strengthening information security with significant resources, technology, people, and budgets for some years, they have become more difficult targets. As a result, hackers and cyber criminals are now focusing more attention on less secure small businesses. This Interagency Report helps small business managers understand how to provide basic security for their information, systems, and networks.
