Allen Shreffler is the Deputy Director of the ISAO SO and also serves as Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at LMI. He has a Bachelor of Science in History from Illinois State University and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems Security from University of Phoenix.
Allen Shreffler has been involved in information security since 1989. He spent 32 years in the Army and Army National Guard, and is a former Army War College Cybersecurity Fellow at NSA/ USCYBERCOM. Allen is a career Military Intelligence Officer serving at the Strategic, Operational and Tactical levels. He has specialized in providing threat intelligence in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Countering-Weapons of Mass Destruction, Counter-Terrorism, and Counter-Drug operations. He also deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Joint Guardian and Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Allen has received numerous meritorious service awards and citations including the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star. He was inducted into the Illinois State University, College of Applied Science Hall of Fame in 2013.When asked what excites him most about the ISAO SO, Allen remarked, “continuing to serve our Nation by increasing overall cybersecurity awareness and resiliency.”
Allen Shreffler lives in San Antonio, TX with his wife and two sons. He is an avid news fan and enjoys spending time with his family experiencing the outdoors.
