Engle’s presentation focused on important ISAO Business Model Considerations, including financial models, cost drivers and resources. There was substantial discussion about ISAO 100-2: Guidelines for Establish an Information Sharing and Analysis Organization. This document, part of the ISAO Series, outlines the Key Operational Planning Factors.
“The process of starting a new information sharing organization can be daunting,” explained Rick Lipsey, Deputy Director of the ISAO SO. “Brian Engle’s expertise in leading an effective Information Sharing and Analysis Organization provided valuable insights for new, emerging and established information sharing groups. The ISAO SO takes pride in facilitating the information sharing conversation and increasing the security of our nation.”
Following Engle’s presentation, details were announced regarding the inaugural International Information Sharing Conference on August 16 and 17, 2017 in Tysons, Virginia. Further details for the 2017 conference will be made available on isao.org in the coming weeks.
Finally, the ISAO SO provided a detailed overview of working titles and products based on feedback from the November 2016 Public Feedback Survey period. These products have been assigned to working groups and will be released in 2017.
